Ironclad is a co-op horror game where you and a small crew pilot tanks to eradicate the monster infestation plaguing the world. Work together and harness ancient technology to end the scourge once and for all.
“Players pilot tanks to traverse and scavenge a barren world for resources to survive, repair their gear, and hunt giant monsters, while they search for the extraction point. While scavenging the barren wasteland players will encounter colossal monsters that will test their preparedness and teamwork. Your tank will also receive damage and need to be repaired and refueled regularly. Limited supplies and a treacherous environment means players must coordinate throughout their adventure through the mist.”
We saw a niche in the market of the co-op genre, which has been insanely successful in the indie world. We noticed similarities between all of these games that were coming out pretty frequently, dark horro theme, goofy character animations, and some singular goal of collecting or protecting something. We’ve implemented a lot of other popular systems, like combat and repairing your tank, to craft a truly collaborative co-op experience.
This game has been in development for about the last year. It’s being developed by myself and two other friends as a small studio known as Trash Planet. This is our flagship title and are currently working towards our playable alpha demo. I am the technical artist and a bit of a generalist, covering all UI/UX and graphic design, 3D modeling, shaders, animation, sound, and more! The stack of hats now sits quite tall.
Our final release is planned for Q4 of 2026 and we plan to have so much more packed into this project than what we do already. We’ve got lots of fun systems planned involving repair tools and resource management, we have more monsters planned, and more guns and tanks to fight them with. We also plan to have several diverse biomes each with their own hazards and challenges.
